Magdeburg should look more to Iceland with regards to finding talent. There are so many talented young players in Iceland now who could become very good in the future. Valencia will for sure will be in selected for the World Cup next month. All these players are being scouted by foreign clubs.

Few names you could see in the future, maybe one or two for Magdeburg:

Benedikt Gunnar Óskarsson (20) - playmaker (plays for Valur). Being scouted by Barcelona

Arnór Snær Óskarsson (22) - right back (plays for Valur).

Stiven Tobar Valencia (22) - left wing (plays for Valur).

Thorsteinn Leó Gunnarsson (20) - 2.05 tall left back (plays for Afturelding). Being scouted by THW Kiel.

Blær Hinriksson (20) - playmaker, left back (plays for Afturelding).

Adam Thorstensen (20) - goalkeeper (plays for Stjarnan).

Reynir Stefansson (17) - playmaker (plays for Fram).

The fact about Gunnarsson is that he is also very strong, agile and fast despite being 205 cm tall. Will be interesting to see what happens in the future for him.

THW Kiel are following closely 20 yr old Icelandic left back of Afturelding, Thorsteinn Leo Gunnarsson. The 2.05 m high player is also being monitored by other high profile clubs.
